The head of the Nineveh Court of Appeal, Judge Raed Hamid Musleh, revealed that Nineveh ranked second in terms of the low level of crime in Iraq after Dohuk, according to international organizations.

Musleh said that Nineveh ranked second in terms of crime level after Dohuk Governorate, according to official statistics from international organizations that track the level of crime.

Musleh attributed this decrease in crime to “stability, professionalism and effectiveness of the security services in the governorate, in addition to the citizen’s significant contribution in reporting crimes, bearing responsibility, and presenting his testimony to the courts.” Regarding the most crimes committed in Nineveh currently, Musleh said, “The most crimes committed are crimes of fraud, fraud, and breach of trust, and they are crimes related to improving the economic and commercial situation in the governorate.”

Due to the stability of the security situation, trade has flourished in the governorate, and commercial transactions between citizens create problems regarding the issue of trading in money and goods.
