The First Deputy Governor of Nineveh, Sirwan Rozbiani, announced that the completion rate in the Mosul Airport project had reached 35%.
During his visit to the airport site, Rozbiani said that work at the airport is scheduled to be completed by the end of this year, 2024.
Mosul International Airport was subjected to comprehensive destruction during ISIS’ control of Mosul between 2014 and 2017.
Airport reconstruction operations witnessed significant delays during the previous administration of the governorate.
