The Mosul Municipality Directorate announced that the completion rate of the Wednesday Market construction project has reached advanced stages.
The engineer, member of the project’s resident engineer department, Hashim Younis, said that the project completion rate reached 79%, as electrical work, packaging of the walkway market , and others are now underway.
He revealed that the work is proceeding according to a two-shift system, day and night, and it is hoped that the project will be delivered within the next two months, noting that the market includes a road firefighting system as well as a camera surveillance system.
Regarding the number of shops, he added that the market includes 221 shops, with a parking lot at the top of the market that can accommodate 275 private vehicles.
