The Minister of Transport, Razzaq Muhaibes Al-Saadawi, announced the approval of 10 governorates on the path of the development road, and while he indicated that this approval is considered final, he revealed the completion rates of the railway and land connection plans for the road, pointing at the same time to studying the draft of the Al-Faw Economic City project .
Al-Saadawi said that the Supreme Committee for the Development Road held a meeting chaired by Al-Sudani recently, and reviewed the latest developments in the Development Road Project, the governorates that ratified the route of the road, and the governorates that did not ratify it, indicating that Al-Sudani directed an urgent meeting with the governorates that did not ratify the route, which are Basra, Karbala, and Baghdad .
He confirmed that the number of governorates that approved the course of the project is 10, starting with Basra, Dhi Qar, Al-Muthanna, Diwaniyah, Najaf Al-Ashraf, Holy Karbala, Babylon, Baghdad, Saladin, and Nineveh, and only one governorate remains, which is Dohuk .
