The Security Media Cell issued recommendations to facilitate the movement of trucks and their entry into cities , the cell stated in a statement Based on the directives of the Prime Minister and Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces, Muhammad Shiaa Al-Sudani, the Prime Minister’s Advisor for Ports , Customs and Transport Affairs, Lieutenant General Sami Abdel Hussein Radi, chaired a meeting at the Border Ports Authority, to consider the demands of truck drivers, in the presence of representatives of the Joint Operations Command and the Security Media Cell, Heads of security services, and customs directors And controls in the Ministry of Interior, as well as representatives of truck drivers .
The statement added that the mechanism for implementing their requests and problems that were raised earlier was discussed , and they were responded to and recommendations were issued that were approved by the Prime Minister regarding the obstacles and dilemmas, which would facilitate the entry of trucks loaded with goods, especially the issue of passing through the controls and not obstructing the movement of these trucks .
The statement explained, “The recommendations included that the inspection of trucks be in the main controls on the administrative borders of the governorates only, and not in the internal controls . Emphasis was also placed on determining the passage route for vehicles loaded with goods of all kinds coming from the governorates of Erbil, Dohuk, and Dakhla through the recognized border crossings.” By the federal government (Hajj Imran – Ibrahim Al-Khalil) exclusively through the customs and security checkpoint (dam control), and assigning the Nineveh Governorate Police Command, in coordination with the governorate administration, to secure the requirements for customs and security control work .
He stated that the path of passage of vehicles loaded with goods of all kinds coming from Sulaymaniyah Governorate, and entering through the official border crossings recognized by the federal government (Perviz Khan – Bashmakh ), has been determined exclusively through the customs and security inspection and audit point ( Bawa Mahmoud control). Assigning the Diyala Governorate Police Command to coordinate with the governorate administration, to elect an alternative location for the current control, through which the requirements of customs and security work will be secured .”
The statement revealed, “These recommendations come to end the suffering of truck drivers standing for hours, and sometimes up to days, and being searched at multiple controls , and these recommendations will be sufficient to end their suffering once and for all .”
