The Governor of Nineveh said that work will begin soon to rehabilitate Ibn Sina Hospital (alternative site) and create partitions in the emergency hall to isolate inactive patients and provide treatments and medicines for returning patients .
Governor Abdul Qadir al-Dakhil directed that Ibn Sina Hospital (the alternative site) be completely rehabilitated until the completion of the reconstruction of Ibn Sina Hospital in the medical complex on the right side of Mosul.
The Ibn Sina Teaching Hospital was subjected to comprehensive destruction during the military operations to liberate Mosul from ISIS. More than 6 years after the governorate was liberated from the organization, the hospital has not been rebuilt yet.
The contract for rebuilding the hospital was awarded to a Turkish company months ago, and the company began removing the old building of the hospital, awaiting the actual start of the rebuilding work, which will take more than 3 years.
