The MP for Nineveh Governorate, Abdul Rahim Al-Shammari, said that an Iraqi army force raided Al-Baaj district.
Al-Shammari said that a force from the 20th Division of the Iraqi army raided homes in the Al-Baaj district in a humiliating manner, according to his description.
He explained that the method of the raid brought to mind the events of 2014, even though the district was considered safe, criticizing at the same time the lack of action by the army and security services to arrest an armed militia leader who threatened community security a few days ago.
Al-Shammari stated that everyone supports implementing the law, but on the condition that this is done according to legal and judicial methods and not in a chaotic manner.
