A medical team from the Department of Orthopedics and Traumatology at Mosul General Hospital, affiliated with the Nineveh Health Department, was able to perform a qualitative operation to repair congenital deformity of the thumb using the farmer ‘s technique .
The patient is 12 years old and suffers from congenital hallux varus .
The head of the medical team, orthopedic and fracture surgery specialist, Dr. Zakaria Rabie Al-Tayyar, stated that after preparing the patient for the operation, an operation was performed to correct the deformity of the right foot and return the toe to its normal position , under general anesthesia , noting that the patient is in good health and is receiving the necessary treatment .
