Nineveh Governor Abdul confirmed Al-Qader Al-Dakhil said that the Mosul Dam is at its best in terms of the safety of the dam and the grouting operations, as well as the generation of electrical energy.
Al-Dakhil continued, during an expanded meeting with the director of the Mosul Dam Project, that the dam is the most important water resource in Iraq , indicating that the year 2024 is an exceptional year , whether in terms of storage or grouting work .
Al-Dakhil pointed out that those he described as “ some malicious people ” are spreading propaganda aimed at creating a kind of instability , and that the local government will take legal measures against them.
Al-Dakhil reassured all workers that salaries and food allowances were secure , calling on workers not to be led by ill-intentioned people , he said.
As for the production of electrical energy, Al-Dakhil confirmed that the rate of electrical production in the dam reached between 650 and 700 megawatts, which is a record number for previous years , in addition to that the technical situation in the dam has become better than in previous years and that the grouting work has not stopped .
