security source in Nineveh Police reported today, Friday, that an officer with the rank of captain died and a soldier was injured in a traffic accident south of Mosul .
The source said , “An Iraqi army officer with the rank of captain died, while a soldier who was accompanying him was injured in a traffic accident near Scorpio control (south of Mosul) .”
The source explained that “the captain and the soldier were off duty and on leave at the moment the accident occurred on the external road,” noting that “the officer arrived dead at the hospital, while the soldier underwent treatment at Mosul General Hospital, where he was transferred after the accident.”
