A number of Mosul citizens complained about being asked for an intelligence stamp while completing a residence card transaction in the city of Mosul.
Citizens confirmed to Mosul Time Radio that they were surprised at being asked to obtain the intelligence stamp despite having the unified national card.
The presidency of the Nineveh Court of Appeal, headed by Judge Raed Musleh, had directed all the governorate’s departments not to require the residents of Nineveh Governorate to have an intelligence stamp if they possessed the unified national card, which was confirmed by Nineveh Governor Abdul Qadir al-Dakhil in an official letter addressed to all the governorate’s departments as well.
Since 2017, the residents of Nineveh Governorate have been suffering from being required to obtain the stamp of the Intelligence Directorate while completing all official transactions, which has caused a lot of burdens on citizens.
