During his visit to the United States, the Governor of Nineveh discussed attracting investment companies and opening an American university in the governorate.
The Governor of Nineveh, Abdul Qadir al-Dakhil, met with the Iraqi ambassador to Washington, Nizar al-Khair Allah, at the embassy headquarters in Washington, and the two sides discussed supporting the investment sector by bringing in American investment companies and providing the appropriate environment and facilities for them to work in the governorate, in addition to discussing the possibility of opening an American university in the city of Mosul.
Al-Dakhil provided Ambassador Nizar Al-Khairallah with a brief explanation of his visit to the US state of Michigan and its most prominent outcomes, in addition to reviewing the schedule of his visit to Washington, which included meeting with the President of the US Chamber of Commerce and businessmen and a visit to the headquarters of the United States Agency for International Development (USAID).
