A member of the Nineveh Provincial Council for the Unified Nineveh Bloc, Ahmed Al-Abd Rabbo, said that leaders in the capital, Baghdad, from both blocs are negotiating to reach a solution regarding the dismissal and appointment of new heads of administrative units in Nineveh Governorate.
Al-Abd Rabbo continued that if the decisions of the Nineveh Future Bloc were to proceed in accordance with the law, this problem would not have occurred within the Nineveh Governorate Council, pointing to Nineveh Governorate’s need for services.
Al-Abd Rabbo stressed that these political differences within the council will affect the citizens of Nineveh Governorate and this will be reflected in the level of services provided to the residents of the governorate.
He stated in his speech that negotiations are still ongoing and that there is a great possibility of reaching a solution between unified Nineveh and future Nineveh, he said.
