The Directorate of Military Intelligence of the Ministry of Defense announced About seizing tunnels and underground bunkers Affiliated with ISIS terrorist gangs in Nineveh Governorate .
The Directorate stated in a statement that the detachments of the Military Intelligence Directorate were able to find tunnels and underground bunkers with a length of more than (50) meters per tunnel, a width of (100) cm, and a height of (2) meters in Tal Afar District .
The statement added, “These tunnels and hideouts were used by ISIS terrorist gangs as a strategic center for commanding terrorist operations at the time,” noting, “that there were rooms used for prison and caches of weapons, equipment, and various materials,” pointing out that “the engineering effort detachments removed the materials, destroyed them on-site, and completely buried the tunnels
