The Governor of Nineveh revealed that the governorate had contracted with a solid investment company to approve the designs and supervise the rebuilding of the Ibn Sina Teaching Hospital in Mosul.
Al-Dakhil said during his inspection of the progress of work on the 600-bed Ibn Sina Hospital project that the governorate obtained the approval of the Council of Ministers , as a contract was made with a reputable consulting company whose mission is to approve the designs and supervise the implementation .
Al-Dakhil stated that an agreement had been reached with the executing company to begin work immediately on implementing the Ibn Sina Hospital project , pointing out that the local government’s ambition is to reach 6,000 beds by 2026 , with the aim of making the governorate a tourist and medical treatment destination .
Regarding the work mechanism, the governor emphasized reducing time and accelerating the pace of work in order to complete this important medical edifice in accordance with international standards , according to what he said, noting that the project to reconstruct and establish Ibn Sina Hospital is the first project in Iraq after 2003 that includes 600 beds with equipment and furniture , This is considered a new turning point in work in the health sector through Al-Shifa Medical Complex , specifically Ibn Sina Hospital .
The Ibn Sina Teaching Hospital in Al-Shifa Medical Complex on the right side of Mosul was subjected to comprehensive destruction during the battles to retake Mosul from the control of ISIS terrorist fighters in 2017.
