The Governor of Nineveh announced on Friday evening that official working hours in all government departments in Nineveh Governorate will be suspended next Sunday on the occasion of the Spring Festival.
Al-Dakhil explained that in order to provide the citizens of Nineveh Governorate with the opportunity to visit the festival and its activities, official working hours in the governorate’s official and educational departments were suspended for one day.
The Spring Festival activities will begin today, Saturday, at nine o’clock in the morning in the celebrations platform area, where the opening will include the passage of the carnival processions participating in the festival, and the celebrations will then move to Bab al-Toub Park, where many traditional events and concerts will be held.
The festival will then move to Al-Shuhada Park in the Al-Dawasa area, where a bazaar and a group of events will be held. The festival will conclude its activities on Sunday evening with a concert by the Watar Ali Orchestra in the Great Meeting Hall inside the University of Mosul.
