A security source in Nineveh Governorate reported, on Sunday evening , that the security forces took precautionary measures in the public streets on the right and left sides of Mosul .
The source said that Nineveh Police prevented vehicles from being parked on both sides of the roads in crowded and congested public streets and near restaurants on the right and left sides of Mosul .
The source explained that the measures were concentrated in the areas of Al-Dubbat, Al-Maliya, Al-Majma’a, Al-Muthanna and Al-Zuhur neighborhoods, by preventing vehicles from parking on the main road .
The source reassured Mosulians that there are no fears about these measures , as they fall within the security procedures and plans carried out by Nineveh Police from time to time .
And later; The Nineveh Governorate Police Command issued a clarification regarding the security deployment in the city of Mosul , as the command stated in a statement that what is happening is a security exercise carried out by the Nineveh Governorate Police Command in conjunction with the Nineveh Traffic Directorate and the rest of the governorate police command formations and aims to maintain the flow of traffic .
