The director of the Nimrod district, Ahmed Obaid Al-Issa, confirmed that he will continue his work in the district until official directives are received confirming the legality of the Nineveh Provincial Council’s procedures for collective exemptions .
Al-Issa said in a statement to Mosul Time Radio, “What I am still continuing my work and providing services to the people of Nimrud district until instructions are received from Baghdad confirming the legality of the measures taken by the Nineveh Provincial Council .
He explained, “We did not receive any official letter from our references regarding our exemption or appointment, but we challenge the legality of the measures taken by the Nineveh Provincial Council related to our exemption without prior warning or by following legal methods of exemption .”
