Displaced people from Sinjar district appealed to Jamshko camp In Dohuk Governorate, the Iraqi authorities will wait to implement the decision to close the camps and return the displaced by the end of next July .
The displaced confirmed their rejection of forced return and called for the issue of the displaced to be spared from political conflicts .
The displaced stressed the importance of completing the compensation file and rebuilding the destroyed homes before returning the displaced and closing the camps .
Sinjar district was subjected to forced displacement after ISIS occupied large areas of the district in the summer of 2014.
Sinjar district is witnessing political and security disputes between the Baghdad government and the Kurdistan Regional Government, in addition to the spread of Turkish Kurdistan Workers’ Party fighters in the district and Turkish air attacks on the city from time to time.
