The Nineveh Roads and Bridges Directorate revealed the continuation of work on the complementary works project for the second time of the Kasak-Rabia road, with a length of 42.3 kilometers.
The Directorate indicated that the project is one of the projects of the Ministry of Construction, Housing and Municipalities, as the project includes the construction of two corridors for the central part with a length of 16.5 km, the construction of one corridor with a length of 25.8 km to the gate of Rabia district, and the construction of three bridges in the central part of the road.
The Roads Directorate confirms that this project is vital for Nineveh Governorate, as it links Iraq to Syria, facilitating the process of transportation and commercial movement between the two countries, in addition to linking the Tal Afar district to the Rabia border district, which contributes to serving the villages located on the path of the road with a high population density.
The Directorate concluded that work on the project is proceeding at an increasing pace and within the required technical specifications, with the completion rate reaching 43%.
