The Counter-Terrorism Service announced yesterday , Sunday, the implementation of a duty north of Rutba District in Anbar Governorate, during which two vehicles, weapons, explosive devices, launchers and their missiles were found .

The Security Media Cell quoted the Joint Operations Command as saying: “In a qualitative operation based on accurate intelligence information, the Counter-Terrorism Service, through the First Anbar Counter-Terrorism Regiment, carried out a duty within the framework of the inspection campaigns of guest houses and caves used by ISIS terrorist gangs in the Anbar desert, north of Rutba in Anbar Governorate .”

She pointed out that ” the fighters of the Counter-Terrorism Service found two abandoned wheels, a motorcycle, 5 explosive devices, an RBG7 launcher with 3 launcher missiles, 4 detonators, 8 detonators, in addition to various logistical and technical materials .”

She explained that “the seized materials were dealt with according to the approved procedures,” noting that “our heroic security forces continue to pursue the remnants of ISIS gangs and cleanse the lands of the remnants of terrorism.”
