A security source in Nineveh Governorate reported yesterday, Wednesday , that a woman died after being severely beaten by her husband using a plastic pipe (sonde) inside their home east of Mosul .
The source said , “A man from the Al-Arbajiyya area, east of Mosul, severely beat his wife with a plastic pipe, causing her death,” indicating that “the incident occurred as a result of severe family disputes, most notably unemployment and poverty .”
The source added that “the local police opened an immediate investigation into the incident and arrested the husband, and the judiciary decided to detain him until the investigations are completed .”
The source also revealed that the “couple” They have four children, who live in difficult circumstances due to the family’s living conditions.
