Representatives of graduates participating in the population census in Nineveh Governorate demanded, yesterday , Sunday, that they be transferred to permanent contracts after the end of their temporary contracts.

On the sidelines of their protest near the Nineveh Governorate building, the representative of the segment, Ahmed Al-Hamdani, said, “The number of graduates participating in the census is close to 1,500 graduates.”

He added that “the graduates worked within the population census teams on temporary contracts with the Ministry of Planning,” indicating that “these contracts have now ended.”

Al-Hamdani called on the Council of Ministers to “convert graduates working in the population census to permanent contracts distributed among state institutions and ministries,” noting that “the number of graduates participating in the population census process throughout Iraq does not exceed 15,000 graduates.”
