Today, Tuesday, the Federal Supreme Court commented on the Ministry of Finance’s decision to fund the salaries of the region’s employees.The court said in a statement received by Mosul Time Radio, “The Ministry of Finance took a number of measures in implementation of the ruling of the Federal Supreme Court No. (224 and consolidated No. 269/Federal/2023) dated 2/21/2024 regarding the salaries of the region’s employees, civilian and military retirees, martyrs, Anfal, and contracts.” And beneficiaries of the social protection network. She added, “Based on the directives of the Prime Minister and the approval of the Minister of Finance, and based on what was stated in the ruling issued by the Federal Supreme Court No. (224 and consolidated No. 269 /Federal/2023) and the request of the Kurdistan Regional Government – Iraq – Council of Ministers / Ministry of Finance and Economy, a financing amount has been deposited.” The account is in the letter No. (6429) dated 3/11/2024 attached, to pay the dues of the Kurdistan Region’s departments for the month of February 2024.”He explained, “The amount of financing the account was deposited in the attached letter No. (6368) dated 3/11/2024, in order to disburse the entitlements of people with disabilities in the directorates of the Social Protection, Welfare and Social Development Network in the Kurdistan Region for the month of February 2024.” The statement added, “The amount of financing the account was deposited in the letter numbered (6369) dated 11/3/2024 attached, in order to disburse the entitlements of civilian and military retirees in the Kurdistan region for the month of February 2024,” noting that “the amount of financing the account was deposited in the letter numbered ( 6400) dated 3/11/2023 attached, to pay the dues for the affairs of the martyrs, the Anfal, and contracts in the Kurdistan region for the month of February 2024.”
