The mayor of Telafar Khalil Mohsen, confirmed that they found a mass grave was found, with victims of unknown identity .
Mohsen said , “The cemetery was discovered when a bulldozer was working to rehabilitate a school that had been abandoned in the neighborhood since 2014, when randomly buried skeletons were discovered .” He explained, “Among the victims are children, but they are still unidentified. We informed the governor of Nineveh and the director of the mass graves within the Martyrs Foundation, and the site has been cordoned off security-wise until a special committee from the mass graves arrives next Saturday to officially open the cemetery
