His media office stated in a statement that, “With hearts that believe in God’s will and destiny, and with great sadness and grief, (Sheikh Dr. Gandhi Muhammad Al-Kassanzan) passed away to the mercy of God Almighty . ”
The deceased was a member of the Iraqi Parliament from the Political Initiative Bloc, while political sources indicated to Mosul Time Radio that the conflict is now raging over who will succeed the deceased as a member of the House of Representatives.
Sources indicate that the conflict is raging between politician Muhammad al-Karbouli and politician Ahmed al-Masari, and the Election Commission will resolve the controversy in the coming days.
