The University of Mosul announced the creation of 4 new scientific departments to keep pace with the requirements of the Iraqi and global labor market .
The university added that the new departments are the Department of Sustainable Energy Engineering/College of Engineering , in addition to the Department of Artificial Intelligence/College of Computer Science and Mathematics , the Department of Climate Change/College of Environmental Sciences, as well as the Oral Diagnostics Branch/College of Dentistry .
The university indicated that approval to create the new departments was issued pursuant to a ministerial order from the Federal Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research.
She explained that students will be received in these departments for the next academic year (2024-2025). It is worth noting that the University of Mosul includes more than 120 scientific departments and branches for preliminary morning and evening studies.
