The Nineveh Future Bloc in the Nineveh Provincial Council renewed its emphasis on the legality and constitutionality of the Provincial Council’s procedures regarding the election of heads of administrative units.
The bloc announced that it was continuing to implement the Council’s decision after the State Council approved the procedures of the Provincial Council, revealing that the Council would soon move to replace the department directors after replacing and electing the heads of the administrative units.
The Nineveh Unified Bloc had announced the freezing of its presence in the Council in objection to replacing the heads of administrative units with a unilateral decision, as it described it, which is the same position taken by the Kurdistan Democratic Party.
A few days ago, the State Council approved the legality of the decision of the Nineveh Provincial Council to replace the heads of administrative units, at a time when observers feared that the current political crisis in the Nineveh Council would disrupt the reconstruction movement and restore what was destroyed by the war against the terrorist organization ISIS.
