Yesterday , Wednesday, the Counter-Terrorism Service announced the arrest of (3) terrorists and the destruction of several guesthouses .
The agency stated in a statement that, “In continuation of the efforts of the heroes of the Counter-Terrorism Service to maintain the momentum with qualitative operations against terrorist gangs, our heroes carried out the arrest of a terrorist in Kirkuk Governorate ,” noting that “one of the terrorists who works as a supplier in Anbar Governorate was arrested .”
He added, “As part of the duties of coordination and cooperation with various security agencies, the heroes of our agency, in cooperation with the Iraqi National Intelligence Service in Nineveh, carried out an arrest operation against a member of ISIS gangs in the city of Mosul. A stack of weapons and ammunition was also removed and destroyed in the same province .”
He continued, “In coordination with the Iraqi National Security Service in Diyala Governorate, the duty of searching and vandalizing one of the abandoned guesthouses in Muqdadiya was carried out .”
He stressed that “the heroes of the Counter-Terrorism Service and the rest of the heroes of the security forces are continuing with qualitative and proactive, thoughtful operations in accordance with accurate intelligence information to eliminate the remnants of ISIS gangs in the various governorates of the country .”
