Today, the Minister of Education, Ibrahim Namis Al-Jubouri, directed the treatment and settlement of surplus staff in the schools of the Kurdistan Region .

The ministry said in a statement, “Minister of Education Ibrahim Namis al-Jubouri recommended keeping those assigned to the ministry’s representations within the Kurdistan region for one year to give them the opportunity to arrange their social conditions .”

She added, “The recommendation came in response to the appeals received regarding their unwillingness to return to their general directorates or transfer to the general directorates of education in Nineveh and Kirkuk, to keep schools without vacancies, and to provide cadres.” Efficient school that attracts students and prevents them from dropping out of school .”

Al-Jubouri also directed – according to the statement – to “Processing and settling surplus cadres in a proportional manner to fill vacancies in schools affiliated with the region .”

The statement continued, “The Minister of Education approved the staffing of the Erbil, Sulaymaniyah, and Dohuk departments, in implementation of Council of Ministers Resolution No. (24043) of the year (2024), paragraph (16), which includes closing the representations and converting them into departments.”
