A security source reported that an attempt to smuggle tens of millions of dinars through the city’s international airport was thwarted .
The source indicated that “a security force inside Najaf International Airport thwarted an attempt to smuggle 100 million Iraqi dinars via one of the airport’s flights to a neighboring country .”
The source added, “The person accused of smuggling money works as a security officer within the airport’s security company,” noting that “the security forces transferred him to a special detention center to complete the investigation procedures with him .”
