Minister of Electricity, Ziad Ali, announced a package of important decisions issued by the Council of Ministers regarding the energy sector, the most important of which is the establishment of generating units in the city of Mosul and the implementation of the Nasiriyah combined power plant with Siemens with a capacity of 921 megawatts.
The Minister of Electricity said in a statement that the Council of Ministers voted to establish new thermal generating units at the North Thermal Power Plant in the city of Mosul with a capacity of (700) megawatts.
He stressed that the Ministry of Electricity, by approving energy projects in Nineveh and Dhi Qar, has fulfilled its pledges to the people of the two governorates and confirms its commitment to developing the energy sector in all Iraqi governorates.
