The Ministry of Construction, Housing and Public Municipalities announced Regarding the start of work on weighing stations in 3 governorates, and while determining their locations, it confirmed the intention to prepare 30 new ones, by the end of the year .
The spokesman for the Ministry of Construction and Housing, Nabil Al-Saffar, said, “We have actually started working on the weighing stations in a number of governorates, including Baghdad, Diyala and Kirkuk, and work is ongoing to refer the rest of the stations for investment in cooperation with the governorates .”
He added, “There will be 30 operating stations by the end of this year out of a total of 83 stations,” noting that “weighing stations are located on the highways linking the governorates as well as on the roads leading to the quarries for construction materials.”
