UNESCO announced that work on the Al-Nuri Mosque and the Al-Hadba Minaret has reached 80%.
The engineer supervising the project on behalf of UNESCO said that work on the minaret has reached the sixth stage, and he indicated that the work is scheduled to be completed during the next year.
The Great Mosque of al-Nuri and its leaning minaret were completely destroyed during the battles to liberate Mosul from ISIS.
