The Israeli newspaper “Israel Hayom” revealed yesterday , Saturday, that the Israeli army has raised the state of alert in all areas, and is preparing to carry out a major operation in Iran, in response to the launch of 201 surface-to-surface missiles last Tuesday, while it indicated that “Israel’s eyes are also on Iraq .”
According to a report by Israel Hayom published by local news agencies , Tel Aviv sees itself as “Israel waging a direct war against Iran,” and also says that “international cooperation itself is important, as well as for international legitimacy, and that expectations are for cooperation with other countries in response .”
The Hebrew newspaper quoted Israeli sources as saying: “The West has understood that we are determined, and there is no room to ignore what happened in Iran .”
In turn, Israeli security and political cabinet member Gideon Sa’ar told the Israeli newspaper: “We have not yet decided on the form of response to Iran,” noting that “Netanyahu is holding additional security consultations this evening regarding the response to Iran .”
The Israeli army indicated, according to the Israeli newspaper, that “the action in Iran will be great and that firing on Israel will have consequences .”
“We need to reduce risks and take advantage of opportunities,” the army added, noting “the desire to achieve deterrence against Tehran.” However, “responding to fire on Israel will not necessarily prevent another Iranian attack,” according to the newspaper “Israel Hayom .”
Regarding Iraq and the targeting of the Israeli army in the Golan by drones, the newspaper quoted Israeli sources as saying that “the Iraqi front is linked to the presence of American forces, and that it is under American air control, without ruling out the possibility of an attack there .”
In conclusion, the Hebrew newspaper quoted an Israeli military official, who spoke on condition of anonymity because he was not authorized to speak publicly about this issue, as saying, “We will respond to the unprecedented Iranian attack.”
