A security source in Nineveh reported yesterday , Sunday, that four people were killed and injured in a horrific traffic accident in the city of Mosul, while Baghdad police arrested a person who burned down his wife’s house .
The source said, “A horrific traffic accident occurred yesterday afternoon near the Fifth Bridge in the city of Mosul, resulting in the death of a civilian and the critical injury of three women .”
He pointed out that “the body was transferred to the Forensic Medicine Department to complete the legal procedures, and the women to the hospital to receive treatment .”
On the other hand, the Baghdad Al-Rusafa Police Command announced in a statement that the Nahrawan Police Station detachments arrested a person after he burned down his wife’s house completely in the Nahrawan area due to family disputes .
She explained that the arrest took place after the wife called the police, informing them that her house had been burned. Immediately, a specialized team was formed, and after investigating, collecting information, and monitoring surveillance cameras, the location of the accused was reached in the nursery area, and a tight ambush was set up for him, and he was arrested and placed in detention to complete the legal procedures against him.
