Yesterday , Saturday, the Board of Commissioners of the Iraqi Communications and Media Commission decided to suspend the MBC channel office from work and confirmed the start of procedures to withdraw the license .
A statement by the Board of Commissioners stated, “In view of the MBC satellite channel’s violation of the media broadcasting regulations through its repeated transgressions and its attacks on the martyrs, the leaders of victory and the heroic resistance leaders who are fighting the battle of honor against the usurping Zionist entity, we confirm that all necessary legal measures will be taken and it will be suspended from operating in Iraq .”
According to the statement, the Council directed the executive body of the Authority to cancel the work license granted to it .
Dozens of supporters of armed factions stormed the office of the Saudi MBC station in the Al-Jamiah neighborhood in the Iraqi capital, Baghdad, at dawn on Saturday, in protest against a television report broadcast by the news group .
The Islamic Resistance Movement “Hamas” also condemned a report broadcast by the Saudi Arabic-language MBC channel , stressing that “this report is dark and incites against the movement and its leadership.”
