Yesterday , Monday, the Ministry of Planning set the date for the completion of the electricity distribution network development project in Nineveh .

The ministry said in a statement : “Specialized follow-up teams in the Ministry of Planning conducted a field visit to the project to expand and develop electricity distribution networks in the northern governorates in Rabia District, Nineveh Governorate, to monitor the stages of work progress and the rates of completion for the Ministry of Electricity .”

The statement added that “the project is one of the strategic and vital projects in the governorate, as the project works to expand and develop secondary stations and overhead and ground networks, by establishing new secondary stations with the availability of their equipment and installing them, as well as expanding and developing the operating secondary stations and implementing (33) Kv voltage feeders.” New aerial and ground; for the purpose of feeding secondary stations and implementing (11) Kv feeders Aerial and ground; for the purpose of addressing bottlenecks in the electrical network, with the installation of distribution transformers, in addition to implementing a low-voltage network .

The statement added, “The project also includes the establishment and rehabilitation of electricity departments and collection centers, the development of communications, and the provision of work requirements with computers and printers, in addition to purchasing and repairing the mechanisms required to implement the project and other miscellaneous works and any emergency works that occur in the electrical network .”

The statement explained that “the project includes equipping and implementing sources for the Kakhartah (Al-Alkanah) station from the Awainat (132) Kv station. Dual-feed, with a geographical length of (31) kilometers, consisting of (1) kilometer of cable and (30) kilometers of aerial, indicating that “the project also includes equipping mobile stations in the neighborhoods of (Al-Mamoun, Al-Atbaa, Ain Al-Hisan, Al-Alakana, and Al-Qawsiyat) .”

The statement indicated that “the project aims to address bottlenecks in the electricity grid and rehabilitate distribution networks and high and low voltage lines, in addition to rehabilitating and constructing electricity department buildings in the northern governorates, including Nineveh Governorate,” noting that “it is hoped that the project will be completed in March of next year 2025,” and the ministry called on “the concerned authorities to take the necessary measures to complete the project, according to the specified timetables and put it into service.”
