An Iranian military source warned on Monday that his country would meet any Israeli attack with a response “beyond expectations .”
“Our response will exceed expectations if Israel attacks Iranian military sites,” the source was quoted as saying by Iran’s Tasnim news agency (close to the Revolutionary Guards) .
The Iranian military source also added that “any Israeli attack on nuclear sites will be met with a response, with the possibility of reconsidering nuclear policies .”
According to Tasnim News Agency, the military source told the agency: “If the potential Zionist action targets military sites, the Iranian response will be certain and will exceed the Zionists’ estimates .”
The source, whose name and position were not reported by the agency, added: “If the potential Zionist action is to target nuclear sites, Iran, along with its response, will take into account nuclear policies. If the potential Zionist action is to affect facilities and infrastructure in various ways, Iran will certainly not make any commitment regarding the scope, type and intensity of its actions based on the previous situation .”
He said: “This is a clear point for the Zionists, and they will certainly understand its meaning.” He continued, saying: “Iran will not hesitate or rush; however, punishing the madmen will not be canceled, and it will be in a way that will bring them more surprises every time.”
