The Iraqi Parliament decided in its session yesterday, Sunday, to postpone voting on 4 laws that were on its agenda, including the Personal Status and General Amnesty Laws .
The media department of the House of Representatives said in a statement that “the House decided to postpone the vote on the draft law to return properties to their owners included in some decisions of the (dissolved) Revolutionary Command Council, as well as postpone the vote on the proposed Personal Status Law No. (188) of 1959. “
He pointed out that “the House of Representatives also decided to postpone voting on the draft law amending the second amendment to the General Amnesty Law No. (27) of 2016, as well as postponing voting on the draft law on service and retirement for the Mujahideen of the Popular Mobilization Authority .”
The Council did not specify whether these laws had been postponed to the next parliamentary session, or other sessions.
