The media director of the Nineveh Sewerage Directorate, Miraj Saadi Fathi, said that “the Nineveh Sewerage Directorate has taken all its measures and preparations for the rainy season,” noting that “the directorate has dug and cleaned all the natural valleys inside and outside the city of Mosul,” noting that “the Cairo Valley and the University of Mosul were cleaned, passing through the Masaref neighborhood, then the Ghabat Valley and the main valley inside the University of Mosul, and the Andalusia Valley .”
He added that “the sewage networks were cleaned in some areas suffering from water pools in Al-Siddiq, Al-Taalim, Al-Zahraa, Shereikhan, Al-Rashidiya, Al-Mansour and others,” noting that “there are many valleys within the neighborhoods that have been dredged, such as Al-Siddiq Valley and others .”
He continued: “All natural valleys in all district centers and sub-districts outside the city of Mosul have been cleaned and dug,” explaining that “as part of the preparations taken by the directorate, sewage water has been cleared and cleaned for some time, and work is ongoing inside and outside the city of Mosul .”
He pointed out that “the Nineveh Governorate Sewerage Directorate is fully prepared to receive the expected rain wave and there are no obstacles, but citizens’ cooperation is required by reporting any water accumulation or blockage in the sewers.”
