Nineveh Provincial Council denied What is being circulated about the existence of a movement to dismiss the head of the council, Ahmed Al-Hasoud .
Social media sites had circulated news that there was a movement by the (Ataa) Movement to dismiss the head of the Nineveh Council, Ahmed Al-Hasoud, and that the bloc intends to hand over the tasks to the council member from its bloc, Mohammed Ahris .
Ahris, whose name was put forward as an alternative, made the denial statement in a limited press conference, surrounded by the members of the Nineveh Future Council, which includes the Coordination Framework alliances .
He said, “There is no truth to the rumours circulating about a movement to dismiss the Council President, and what is being circulated is lies that are baseless .”
Ahris explained, “In the name of the Nineveh Future Alliance, we express our support for Al-Hassoud in light of the circumstances that the province is going through, expressing our full confidence in the head of the council .”
He added, “We denounce these rumours that attempt to undermine and weaken the Council.”
