A local police source in Kirkuk reported yesterday , Friday, that the police arrested a person who imprisoned his mother, chained her up and deprived her of food for nine days in the center of the province .
confirmed that “the police received a report about a person who had imprisoned his mother and chained her in one of the rooms of the house located in the Al-Musalla neighborhood in central Kirkuk,” indicating that “following the report, a security force moved and found the mother, who was elderly and in poor health .”
The source added, “The mother was transferred to the hospital to receive treatment, and the police opened an investigation into the incident to find out the reasons behind his actions, after he was arrested.”
