The General Directorate of Narcotics Affairs announced yesterday , Sunday, the seizure of (170) kilograms of Captagon narcotic pills and the dismantling of a network specialized in drug trafficking with international connections .
A statement by the Directorate stated that “according to judicial decisions issued by the Central Investigation Court in Rusafa, a qualitative operation was carried out during the past hours after forming a specialized working team from the Special Investigations Department affiliated with the General Headquarters and based on the directives of the Director General of Narcotics Affairs with intelligence depth .”
He added, “The operation resulted in the arrest of (4) drug dealers, one of whom is a foreigner, the dismantling of their international network, and the seizure of (170) kilograms of Captagon narcotic pills in Basra .”
