Nineveh Governor Abdul Qadir Al-Dakhil revealed on Tuesday the reason behind the delay in referring one of the important and vital projects in the city of Mosul .
Al-Dakhil said that the project of the Mosul ring road, including the approaches to the sixth bridge on the right side of the city, has been delayed a lot, and the reason for that is due to the intersections and obstacles with many government departments, including electricity, sewage, and antiquities .
Al-Dakhil added that “the local government held a meeting with the Nineveh Roads and Bridges Directorate and the relevant departments in order to solve the problems impeding the referral of the project, which is one of the important and vital projects in the city and which will solve the road problem once and for all . “
He directed those departments to work within less than a week to complete those obstacles in order to expedite the referral of the project, especially the section extending from the Sixth Bridge towards Baghdad Road within the Mosul ring road .
For his part, the Director of Nineveh Roads and Bridges, Radwan Al-Shahwani, revealed that the problems that hindered the referral of the ring road project were the intersections and obstacles with some circles .
Al-Shahwani said, “The governor directed that these obstacles be removed within 5 days,” while he expected the project to be referred soon to the Ministry of Housing and Construction in Baghdad.
