The local government in Duhok Governorate announced the distribution of more than 3,500 plots of land to employees in the governorate .
The head of the local government, Ali Tatar, said in a press conference that 1,220 plots of land within the borders of Dohuk city and Semel district will be distributed to employees, adding that the local government will distribute more than 2,000 other plots in different areas .
He added that the problem of the pieces that were distributed in 2011, which amounted to 1,350 pieces, has been solved and their owners will receive them, stressing that the distribution process is continuing at an increasing pace .
At the beginning of November, Erbil Municipality began distributing 3,000 plots of land to Kurdistan Regional Government employees within the municipality’s borders.
