Al-Dakhil said, “We have been waiting for the government’s program for this important program for a long time, and today these efforts have been crowned with the beginning of the actual steps for the general population census,” indicating that “the first phase includes the first visit to citizens’ homes, as Nineveh Governorate was the first to complete the task by 100 %.”
He added, “Today we have reached the second stage, which includes counting deaths and births, and the curfew has been fully implemented, and coordination has been made with the security services in order to facilitate the citizens’ urgent affairs,” noting that “there is great cooperation between the people of Nineveh Governorate and the committees responsible for the census .”
Al-Dakhil said, “We have more than 10,000 meters spread throughout Nineveh Governorate, and we were able to reach all areas, even remote areas throughout the governorate,” noting that “all matters that have contact with the borders of the Kurdistan Region have been smoothed out and mitigated .”
He continued: “There is high coordination between the Iraqi Ministry of Planning and the Ministry of Planning in the Kurdistan Region, and there is a joint team working in these areas, and it did not pose any obstacle or problem for us .”
