A source in Nineveh Police reported, last Saturday evening , that a 10-year-old child was killed as a result of the explosion of an explosive device left behind by ISIS in Makhmur district, southeast of Mosul .
According to the source “The explosion occurred in the village of Mahana in Makhmur district, and it exploded while the child was passing by while shepherding sheep .”
He explained that “the bomb was planted by ISIS elements during their control of the area,” confirming that the child’s body was transferred to the Forensic Medicine Department in Mosul.
