A security source in Nineveh reported yesterday , Tuesday, that 4 people were killed as a result of a tribal conflict south of Mosul, the center of the governorate, indicating that among the victims were 2 of the perpetrator’s nephews .
The source said , “An old tribal dispute was renewed this afternoon in the village of Al-Nadas in the Shura district (south of Mosul), which resulted in the killing of four people by gunfire .”
The source explained, “Two of the dead were the nephews of the perpetrator who was being chased by the police to arrest him, and another dead person was their uncle,” noting that “Nineveh Police opened an investigation into the matter, which turned out to be due to an old dispute, but it was renewed as a result of the conflict over livestock and crops in that area.” “.
Later, Nineveh Police announced the arrest of the person involved in the killing of four people in the Shura district, including two of his sister’s sons, in control north of the city of Mosul .
A security source said Nineveh police were able to arrest the killer of the four people in the village of Al-Nadas in the Shura district (south of Mosul), noting that the accused “was arrested in the Mosul Dam control (north of Mosul) while trying to flee outside the governorate.”
