Nineveh Governorate received its athlete son, Abdul Khaliq Abdul Haq, the adventurous young man from the Bashiqa district, who set off from the French capital, Paris, on his bicycle to his home city, Mosul .

Nineveh Governor Abdul Qader Al-Dakhil said: “The people of the cities of Bahzani and Bashiqa welcomed the young man, Abdul Khaliq, who is determined and defiant, coming from France to Mosul, passing through several European countries,” he said, indicating that “the local government will support such activities and we will provide special support to the young man, Abdul Khaliq, in order to break records in the future .”

For his part, the young man, Abdul Khaliq Abdul Haq, explained that “his journey lasted 35 days and was accompanied by many dangers,” indicating, “For more than three years, I have been planning this journey and studying the path I will take, and I was able to obtain an entry visa to several countries at the invitation of my cousin .”

Abdul Haq continued: “After physical preparation, the journey started from in front of the Eiffel Tower in the French capital, Paris, arriving at the city of Bashiqa in Mosul.”
